The Disney Musical The Little Mermaid is co-hosted by Dallas Summer Musicals and Performing Arts Fort Worth in Dallas and Fort Worth. #LittleMermaidDSM
I've been wanting to take my daughter to a musical for a while, but I was waiting for the right one, so when I was invited to the Little Mermaid's I didn't think twice, we got tickets as compensation.
We were greeted by bubbles falling from the ceiling, the place was full, there were people of all ages, boys and girls excited to see The Little Mermaid, some in their mermaid costume and others who dressed up with mermaid blankets that were for sale together with other souvenirs from the famous Disney film.
The stage decorated with a very good lighting resembling the waves the sea. The music is live, a great orchestra and your skin gets swelled when you listen to the melodies we already know from the film. based on the Disney film and the Broadway Musical; seats are numbered, there are different prices.
The girls were thrilled to see Ariel (Alison Woods) and Flounder (Adam Garst), the first characters to appear; all the characters sing live the famous songs of the film, with great voices.
The story is based on the Disney animated film is an adaptation of Hans Christian Andersen's sidewalk tale of a mermaid who falls in love with Prince Eric (Eric Kunze's) and tries to swap his fins for legs so he can live with him on the surface.
The show is spectacular, the characters and costumes are adorable, they dance singing and they move all the time as if they are actually in the water, the best thing is when they "swim" towards the surface.
Sebastian (Melvin Abston's) later appears caring for and advising Ariel to follow the orders of her father Triton (Fred Inkley) as in the film. Sebastian sings the famous song "Under the Sea" or "Under The Sea" and later "to help Ariel with "Kiss the Girl".
The Musical has an intermediate of 20 minutes, in this time we took the opportunity to buy a snack and then we went to the fountain that is on the lower floor, where we saw several mermaids (The Mer Friends) posing for the photos, so take your camera , although remember that during the musical you can not take photos or video.
In the second part we could see the evil Ursula, the sea witch characterized by Tracy Lore making Ariel's life impossible. There are also six sisters of Ariel, a seagull characterized by Jaime Torcellini, a Chef who tries to cook Sebastian, as well as other characters that will make you have a good time.
The musical is excellent to go with family or with your partner, it is a good way to offer new experiences to children and if you also know the songs, you will love it.
