Mystery Tuesday: The House of Aramberri

This time we shared a very famous crime in Monterrey, at that time my grandmother lived a few blocks from where it happened, the news ran among the neighbors and then in the newspapers; She told me a long time ago, then I read it in a book and it was very similar, in the story I tell you what she lived herself when they caught the killers.

Today La Casa de Arramberri remains abandoned and has become an almost touristic site because of the morbid it generates, the authorities have it closed, but that does not prevent people from still prowling around; it is said that you hear voices and screams, but you better read yourself the story of this horrible crime and what is said about this mysterious house.

THE HOUSE OF ARAMBERRI

In 1933, Monterrey, Nuevo León; Mexico; it was a peaceful city, without great evil, until a fact occurred that completely changed its history. A family, of kind accommodating and respected by society, lived in their house located in Aramberri street 1026, between Diego de Montemayor and Manuel Doblado, in the center of the city.

They say that a common morning, like many others; was on april 5, Mr. Delfino Montemayor, left his house very early to go to work in the Fundidora (now the Fundidora Park), in his house had left his wife, Mrs. Antonia Lozano and her 19-year-old daughter Florinda.

Shortly after leaving her home, they knocked heavily on the door, his wife thinking that she had forgotten something to her husband, opened with all the confidence of the world, what was her surprise that when she opened she was surprised with three blows to the head , provided with a metal tube, leaving her semi-unconscious, then heading to her daughter's room, which was brutally beaten and raped by the attackers, who intended to seize a chest that the family kept with valuable coins.

They screamed and fought desperately, but in vain, their lives ended that day at the hands of these men, one of them ended the life of Mrs. Antonia, cutting her throat three times and Florida, her beloved daughter, also stabbed her with a slash in her throat, while one murdered, the other searching for the coveted coin chest throughout the house.

On the fingernails of the victims were found traces of skin and hair of those savages who committed the terrible crime of the House of Aramberri, noting with that, that both mother and daughter, fought hard for their lives.

At that time it was an outrageous event, because of the saña with which they were deprived of their lives. It is said that the crime was solved, thanks to the family pet, a unique parakeet, that at the time of the officers doing the respective investigation, they heard him say: – Don't kill me, Gabriel! Don't kill me!

Gabriel turned out to be the nephew of the Lars. Montemayor, who knew perfectly well what his relatives owned, to whom he took their lives, because of his undue ambition. Incredibly, it was the line of inquiry that the authorities focused on and managed to make the killers confess to whom they applied the so-called escape law.

My grandmother told me that she was there in the Alameda, where the military camp used to be. She also told me about the escape law they applied to the killers and how they exhibited their heads at the Civil Hospital to calm people who cried out justice, she herself lined up to see the heads of the killers from which blood was still coming out that fell on some banddej peeling ace.

Since then, Arramberri's house has been uninhabited, and the neighbors recount that desperate cries, cries and wails are heard from inside the house, that shadows appear through the windows and it is a chilling experience for the one who came into the old house, for his energy was immediately felt, with noises, voices, wails, steps, as well as dismissing a strong smell of sulfur from inside, as if the devil himself dwelled in the place.

Currently it remains uninhabited, it is protected with a wire fence and in deplorable conditions due to the passage of years, because no one ever inhabited it again. It is also common for it to be visited by hundreds of curious people who come from all over to live the experience of the popular House of Aramberri.

I managed to chat with a local neighbor, who assured that the house is haunted and that he receives visits very often, but only on the outside, because he has canceled access, but since he has no roof, people like to blow things up, like witchcraft work , according to the witness, things are thrown into the interior of the house, even remarked that a few days ago they had left a pot with the figure of the devil, which the next day dawned, and a day later disappeared from the place.

It will be that the negative energy that is felt there, invites people who are practicing witchcraft to choose that place to carry out their jobs, we do not know; but if we know, that the story is completely true, and that there are documents that support the fact as real.

And you, have you entered some haunted house?
