Recipe for meatloaf or meatloaf
1 1/2 Kg (3 lbs) of ground beef
1/4 kg of sausages in pieces
500g tomato sauce (like spaghetti)
1 small onion, sliced
1 bottle of olives (or chicharos, optional)
3/4 cup oatmeal
Salt to taste
Preheat the oven to 400F.
Grease the mold or refractory, either with spray oil or by passing an oil-soaked napkin all over the surface.
In a large bowl we place all the ingredients except the onion: ground meat, sausages, tomato sauce, eggs, oats, olives, onion, salt, pepper and garlic; mix until the ingredients are fully integrated.
Place the meat mixture in the greased refractory and spread. We sage the onion in slices spreading over the meatloaf.
We cover with foil and put in the oven for an hour, but remove the foil in the last half hour, so that the meatloaf is a little over.
Remove from the oven when this time passes.
