Chocolate pancakes or hot cakes are a yummy breakfast for your children, serve them with a delicious chocolate drink #StirImagination
While my daughter takes her chocolate Nestlé® Nesquik®, blows her imagination and starts talking to me about her dreams and projects, she wants to be a kindergarten teacher when she’s growing up, so she spends his time talking about the activities she’d like to do when she has your group of students.
When her younger friends come, she rushes to bring colors and coloring sheets and play school, sometimes playing with colorful gises to draw on the patio floor.
Brendita also likes to cook with me, one of her specialties are hot cakes or pancakes as we call them in US, so I thought we could make some colorful pancakes for breakfast.
As we already have the mix ready, we also made some chocolate pancakes with Nestlé chocolate® Nesquik® and then we also made some pancake skewers that my kids loved!
My kids have their breakfasts usually with milk or chocolate Nestlé® Nesquik®, I love it because it has vitamins and minerals such as: Iron to help development and growth; Vitamin C to strengthen the immune system, 3 escencel-de-lets to help the body create and use energy; Copper, an important mineral for the absorption of iron and formation of red cells; magnesium to help strengthen bones.
I hope you enjoy this colorful chocolate pancakes or hot cakes as we called them in Mexico.
chocolate pancakes with sprinkles
Ingredients
1 cup pancake or hot cake flour
1/2 cup chocolate sprinkles
1 egg
3/4 cup milk
8 strawberries
1 banana
1 tablespoon oil
1 tablespoon butter
1/2 cup whip cream
Prepare the mix of the pancakes by mixing the flour, egg, milk and a tablespoon of oil according to the instructions of the package; only until the lumps dissolve.
Heat the pan over medium heat.
Add chocolate sprinkles or colored chips to the mixture, and mix.
Add some butter or vegetable oil when the pan is hot.
Add a tablespoon of mixture to form a mini pancake. If the pan is big we can make several at once, my fryer pan allowed to make three pancakes.
Try to make same size pancakes.
Wait for the pancakes edges to be cooked and have bubbles on top, then flip to cook the other side.
Make more pancakes with the same steps, until the mix is finished.
Garnished with whip cream and strawberries on top.
