This Italian pasta salad recipe is perfect for summer afternoons. You can prepare it from the previous day for your meetings.
Sometimes when can’t think which food to prepare to bring to a potluck. This Italian pasta salad is a good recipe to share in the summer.
My kids love this type of pasta salad, here you can see my Mexican macaroni salad recipe, which I usually accompany with chicken salad.
Which pasta do we use for this Italian Pasta salad recipe?
We use Rotini pasta. This spiral-shaped pasta retains a lot of the dressing flavor. You can also use Fusilli pasta instead, it has the same flavor and shape but it’s a little bigger than Rotini.
I would serve this salad with a roasted breast or with a marinade duse.

Italian pasta salad recipe
- 1 packet of spiral pasta or Rotini
- 1 cucumber
- 15 cherry or cherry tomatoes
- 1 can small black olives (black olives) sliced
- 1/2 cup banana peppers (optional)
- Italian dressing to taste
- 2 liters of water to cook the pasta
Cook the Rotini pasta in two liters of water according to the package instructions.
When the pasta is cooked, drain and allow to cool down. Separate.
Meanwhile, chop the cucumber.
Chop banana peppers (some are already chopped).
When the pasta is cold, add all the ingredients and mix.
